Cupola

A cupola is an architectural feature that resembles a small dome-like structure, often situated on top of a larger roof or dome. It is typically used for providing light and ventilation to the space below, and can be found crowning the summit of a building or serving as a lookout point. The design of a cupola can vary greatly, ranging from simple and functional to ornate and decorative, often reflecting the architectural style of the period in which it was built. In some instances, the cupola may house a bell or clock, or be designed as a belfry. Historically, cupolas have been used in various buildings, including churches, government edifices, and private residences, and they continue to be a distinctive element in modern architectural designs, adding elegance and character to the skyline of structures.
